In reading these I got to thinking on pg 10 about old neighborhoods, tourism, and adventure.

Debord says "In old neighborhoods, the streets have degenerated into highways, and leisure is commercialized and adulterated by tourism....We require adventure. Not finding it anymore on earth, there are those who want to look for it on the moon."

I find this interesting because it speaks to the insatiable thirst of always wanting more. Recently visiting New York times square as well I examined the thirst for tourism. It was much like the thirst tourists have for the Chicago BEAN or other touristy sites. People always want more!!!
