Emo Snowman

I have been thinking about Massumi's example of the snowman- where the more emotional story was found more pleasurable and promoted greater retention than the typical descriptive narrative. This is of interest in making artwork, particularly in film/video. By eliciting an emotional response, the filmmaker can draw viewers in and make them remember what is important and necessary for the greater conceptual/overall understanding. Emotional responses can make viewers feel like they are connected to the material.
